Every Hour Counts
Moving our mission forward wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers. Their commitment strengthens our work and helps provide food and hope to neighbors in need every day.
Tim, who lives near the East Point facility, spends his free time helping families facing food insecurity. He started volunteering at the Hunger Action Center but is now at the Community Food Center – Jonesboro.
“It’s important to serve the community in ways you can, whether it’s time, resources, or a combination of the two,” said Tim.
Tim has logged a total of 847 volunteer hours!
By stocking shelves and assisting at checkout, he witnesses firsthand the impact of preventing food waste and supporting neighbors in need.
Tim’s favorite part about volunteering at the CFC is the hands-on work and interactions with neighbors.
“Many neighbors use the word ‘blessed’ a lot when they see items on the shelves that they don’t have to go purchase in a store or try to purchase in a store because groceries are super expensive.”
