Throughout 2013, Panera Bread will give their customers the opportunity to donate money at the register to assist the Atlanta Community Food Bank's mission of fighting hunger. A portion of the cash donations made by customers may be matched by Panera and its franchisees. Outnumber Hunger is an initiative that makes it easy for people to join in the fight against hunger in their own communities. Specially marked food packages direct consumers to enter codes online at www.OutnumberHunger.com to help Feeding America secure meals for the Atlanta Community Food Bank. For every code entered by March 1, 2014, Outnumber Hunger will donate $0.65 – enough to secure five meals on behalf of local food banks.

Ongoing & Annual Events
Georgia’s largest food drive runs June – October and delivers hundreds of thousands of dollars and pounds of food for the hungry.
This annual black-tie party supports the Atlanta Apartment Association’s annual Food-A-Thon. Evening includes live music, dancing, auction, great food and more!
Teams of architects and engineers design giant sculptures made of nonperishable foods. Structures are displayed at Colony Square and food items are donated to ACFB.
Take a swing against hunger at the Doctors’ annual summer tournament. Scramble format includes contests for Hole in One and Longest Drive. Entry fees benefit ACFB. Call 404-531-9525 for more info.
One of the longest running charity tournaments dedicated to raising funds for local hunger-relief efforts, the Full Course Classic benefits Atlanta’s Table, ACFB’s prepared food rescue project.
The Office of the Attorney General, State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division and Georgia Food Bank Association come together each spring for a friendly food and fund drive competition.
Every March, thousands of walkers and runners come together at Turner Field for this 5K event toraise awareness and funds for hunger relief. Benefits ACFB and 5 local hunger relief organizations.
The September Corporate 5K Run/Walk and Fitness Program is a workplace-organized opportunity that encourages a physically fit lifestyle. The event includes a food drive for ACFB.
From Thanksgiving to Christmas, metro area Kroger stores make it easy to give through their annual CAN Hunger food drive. Just choose donation amount icon and donate at the register. Kroger will deliver truckloads of food in the new year!

Each May, the U.S. Postal Service and the National Association of Letter Carriers join together to “Stamp Out Hunger” and deliver millions of pounds of food to more than 200 Feeding America food banks.

Each spring, Publix Super Markets collect food and funds for hungry families. As a token of appreciation, Publix customers making a donation will receive a special Food for Sharing reusable bag.
The 25th Annual Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation Atlanta is an elegant black tie optional evening of gourmet food and wine featuring chefs from 50 of Atlanta’s top restaurants, live entertainment and live, silent and wine auctions. 100% of the net proceeds benefits the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Genesis, A New Life and Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters Georgia. The Honorary Chairs this year are Governor Nathan Deal and First Lady Sandra Deal. A VIP reception will be held from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
