Chef Matt Marcus joins Simple Abundance this evening to demonstrate a typical bistro meal of Grilled Sardines with capers, shallot, and tomato with preserved lemon and parsley; fresh Homemade Black Spaghetti Aglio e Olio with Bottarga; and Fava Bean Tapenade made with summer onion, blossoms, orange-scented olive oil, mint and calabrese powder.

Ongoing & Annual Events

Georgia’s largest food drive runs June – October and delivers hundreds of thousands of dollars and pounds of food for the hungry.  

This annual black-tie party supports the Atlanta Apartment Association’s annual Food-A-Thon.  Evening includes live music, dancing, auction, great food and more! 

Teams of architects and engineers design giant sculptures made of nonperishable foods.  Structures are displayed at Colony Square and food items are donated to ACFB.

September is Hunger Action Month! Whether it’s volunteering, hosting a food drive or spreading the word of what the Food Bank does, we want you to help us. Join us and 200 Feeding America food banks across the nation to take action against the issue of hunger.

Every March, thousands of walkers and runners come together at Turner Field for this 5K event to raise awareness and funds for hunger relief. Benefits ACFB and five local hunger relief organizations. Register today!

The Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk & Fitness Program (KPCRW) is the largest workplace-organized health and wellness program in Atlanta starting with Get Active Atlanta!, a free 8-week training program and culminating in a 5K run/walk through downtown Atlanta. Since 2008, KPCRW company teams have donated more than 14,250 lbs. of food to the ACFB as part of the KP Corporate Can Contest.

Each May, the U.S. Postal Service and the National Association of Letter Carriers join together to “Stamp Out Hunger” and deliver millions of pounds of food to more than 200 Feeding America food banks.

Inspired by scripture from the prophet Isaiah, “to share your food with the hungry”, Atlanta’s Jewish Community holds their metro-wide food drive each year during the High Holy Days. 

Outnumber Hunger is an initiative that makes it easy for people to join in the fight against hunger in their own communities.  Specially marked food packages direct consumers to enter codes online at to help Feeding America secure meals for the Atlanta Community Food Bank.  For every code entered by March 1, 2014, Outnumber Hunger will donate $0.65 – enough to secure five meals on behalf of local food banks. 

Each spring, Publix Super Markets customers can donate at the register to provide food for hungry families.  As a token of appreciation, customers making a donation will receive a special Food for Sharing reusable bag. 

ACFB's Supper Club is simple. One night each month, a top Atlanta restaurant serves as our Supper Club host, and they donate 20% of the evening's proceeds to ACFB. What better way to enjoy an excellent meal while giving back to the community?
