The Atlanta Prosperity Campaign seeks to ensure that working families have access to all of the economic supports for which they are eligible. Volunteers support this program by serving as Benefit Screeners (year-round) or Volunteer Income Tax Assistants (seasonal -- January to April). This is a great opportunity for volunteers who are comfortable with computers and interested in working directly with clients in need of this service. Benefit Screener Volunteers assist in the screening process to identify eligibility for public benefits (such as food stamps, subsidized child care, Peach Care, etc). Benefit screenings take place at various locations throughout the Metro Atlanta area at partnering agency sites. Many of the partnering agencies have limited resources and need volunteers to help to screen clients for these benefits.

Benefit Screener Volunteer Requirements: Volunteers must be 18 yrs and older. Basic computer/internet skills required. Training on the software used in screening provided. Dates, times and locations for this volunteer opportunity varies.
To sign up, contact: Skye Thompson @ skye.thompson@acfb.org or call 678-538-9972
