Volunteer slots fill up quickly, especially on Saturdays, so please contact us at least seven working days in advance of your desired shift, and have more than one available date in mind.
Product Rescue Center Help inspect, sort and pack assorted donations of non-perishable food, paper goods, medicines and cleaning products for distribution. This project offers a sociable atmosphere and is a great team-building experience for corporate or other groups and individuals. Ages 8 and up. Sessions are available Tues, Weds, Thurs, and Sat (9 a.m. - Noon); Weds, Thurs, and Sat (1 p.m. - 4 p.m.); and Tues, Wed, and Thurs (6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.).
Community Garden Initiative - Participate in planting, mulching, weeding and harvesting vegetable gardens that beautify neighborhoods and reduce family food budgets. This is a great project for groups of 5-25 volunteers. Ages 10 and up. Monday thru Saturday, three hour shifts.
Kids in Need - Kids in Need provides free school supplies to teachers in low-income schools. Volunteers are needed as shopping assistants in the afternoon and to help with a wide array of sorting and restocking projects in the morning. This is ideal for individuals or small groups. Ages 16 and up.

Afternoon shopping assistants:
- Shopping Assistants are asked to commit to a 3 hour shift either once a week or once every two weeks for one or more semesters.
- There are two semesters each year, August - December and January - May. (Volunteers can start at any point during the school year.)
- Shifts run Mondays thru Thursdays, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
- Morning volunteer groups of 1-15 people:
- Shifts run Mondays thru Fridays, 9:00 am - 12:00pm.
