Group Volunteer Opportunities

Enjoy a team-building experience while giving back to your community! Review the variety of ways to volunteer below to determine the opportunities that best align with your group's interests.

Product Rescue Center - Sort and pack food donations in our climate controlled warehouse. Pre-set shift times are offered weekday mornings, afternoons, evenings and Saturdays. Appropriate for ages 8 and up.

Community Gardening - Perform various gardening tasks year-round in one of Atlanta's many outdoor community gardens. Flexible shifts are offered mornings and afternoons Monday-Friday and select Saturdays for groups of 8 or more ages 8 and up.

Kids In Need - Restock school supplies in our climate controlled Kids In Need warehouse. Morning shifts offered Monday - Friday for groups of 5-12 volunteers ages 16 and up.

Special Events - Choose from a variety of fun events in the Metro Atlanta Area that benefit the Food Bank.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program - Help provide thousands of dollars to your neighbors in need. The VITA Tax Program provides free tax preparation services to qualified working families in metro Atlanta. To provide this service, the Atlanta Prosperity Campaign (APC) needs hundreds of volunteers during the tax season (January – April) each year. Adopt a site and volunteer as a group at the same location or at various locations in any of the following positions: Intake Administrators, Interpreters, Quality Reviewers and Tax Preparers. No prior financial experience necessary, but required training will be offered for all volunteer positions except interpreters. Weekday, weeknight and weekend opportunities available.  All volunteer slots for this opportunity are currently filled - thanks to our wonderful volunteers!
