2016 MLK Day Essay Contest

The Atlanta Community Food Bank invites students between the ages of 8-17 to participate in our second annual MLK Day Essay Contest! This is an amazing opportunity for students to share personal narratives dealing with individual experience and reflections on Dr. King's legacy. All participants will be recognized at our MLK Day of Service Essay Contest Ceremony on January 18, 2016, at 11:45 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Winners of the contest will read their essays aloud and will receive awesome cash prizes and plenty of Food Bank swag!

MLK Youth Essay Contest

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday and legacy, the Atlanta Community Food Bank is hosting the MLK Day YOUTH Essay Contest! Contestants must be between the ages of 8-17 to enter, and all entries are due on Monday, January 12 by noon. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be invited to read their essays at a special invitation only luncheon at ACFB on January, 19 from 11:30 am-1:00 pm.

MLK Day of Service

Monday marked the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service across the nation. Like a lot of organizations, we hosted a day of service which included community gardening, sorting food and produce, working in Kids In Need and fixing up our food drive barrels.
