It’s true. Now, imagine, already being on SNAP and stretching your income as far as it can go, that extra expense of diapers for your child. Diapers are not cheap. You go through quite a few in a day. It adds up in a big way.

Donating = the fountain of youth?

Thank you to the members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority for supporting Kids In Need over the last 10+ years. This Sorority and these women have certainly found the “fountain of youth” by serving others!

Mrs. Rosa Craig and her sister, both in their 90s, dropped off 86 pounds of school supplies and a cash donation today. This donation was collected by local members of Mrs. Craig’s sorority - Zeta Phi Beta. Judy Stamps with Mrs. Craig (left) and her sister (right) is pictured above. This is an amazing tradition of support - don’t you think?

Georgia’s Legal Food Frenzy Results Are In!

As part of a challenge from Georgia’s Attorney General Sam Olens, law firms across the state participated in the Georgia Legal Food Frenzy, a friendly competition in which the law firm or organization that raises the most food wins the highly coveted “Attorney General’s Cup”. Participating law firms in our service area raised $107,509.43 and collected 20,738 pounds of food for the Atlanta Community Food Bank! Thank you to all of you who participated!

Some Sweet Sweet Potatoes!

ACFB recently got 42,840 pounds of sweet potatoes from the Society of St. Andrew. Getting these potatoes has been quite the Food Bank affair. Not only are we getting them ready for agency distribution, the sprouts are being pulled off to be used in Community Gardens and the already broken up ones are getting composted!
