Your gift to ACFB delivers a healthy return. With each $1 you donate, we can provide $9.21 in groceries for someone in need.
Since 2008, The McCart Group has participated in the Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk & Fitness Program (KPCRW). Interest in the program grows each year along with our total number of participants. With more than 100 employees, the McCart Group has a very diverse team, and we motivate and encourage each other in many different ways, including inspiration to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. Another way is community involvement and giving of our time and resources to those in need. Often, we find opportunities where getting healthy and giving back go hand in hand.
Last year, and for the third year in a row, The McCart Group donated the most canned goods - 2,452 pounds – to the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB)! That’s more than any other company team participating in the KPCRW Corporate Can Contest. The Atlanta Community Food Bank is one of three beneficiary community organizations that partners with the KPCRW each year. As a leading employee benefits broker in Georgia, The McCart Group works with Atlanta companies to make health and wellness a priority in their corporate culture. We view our KPCRW participation as a privilege and are proud to be a part of a program that focuses not only on the health and wellness within the corporate community, but also the broader community in need of food for their families. Supporting such a worthy cause makes it easy to generate excitement around the food drive for ACFB with both our business partners and our team at The McCart Group.
Supporting community causes is important to us as several clients are non-profit organizations, including The Alzheimer’s Association and The Arthritis Foundation. Similar to the KPCRW, our associates form a team and participate in fundraising walks each year. Team building, exercising together, and helping those in need … all in tandem! The camaraderie grows as the enthusiasm grows for doing something good for ourselves and for others!
Busy, busy, busy. Everyone is fighting the time crunch these days and in the rush to fit it all in, a healthy lifestyle is often put on the back burner. But, making room in our hectic schedules for exercise is not as difficult as it seems, especially when you can give back at the same time.
Make no excuses for joining in – it feels good to do good!
