Help the NFL and the Falcons Kick Hunger!

The Super Bowl is just around the corner and the NFL is giving back before the big game on February 1, 2014 in Brooklyn, NY. For over 22 years, the NFL has been working to kick hunger by raising over $14 million. However, the need to do more is unyielding. The NFL has recruited the country's top chefs and the NFL's greatest to raise money in support of Feeding America-affiliated food banks throughout the United States in each of the NFL cities. The main event meshes the culinary and athletic worlds together with The Party with a Purpose®. The event is a unique experience complete with New York style eats, the chance to meet NFL players and coaches, and  above all, it supports the fight against hunger.

Representing the Atlanta Falcons again this year is Chef Kevin Rathbun, a long-time supporter and advisory board member of the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Rathbun won $10,000 for the Food Bank for his victory in Food Network's, 'Chopped' last August. Also participating for the Falcons is Chris Draft, a former Falcons player involved with the Chris Draft Family Foundation that focuses on the importance of education, healthy lifestyles, character development, personal responsibility, self-discipline and physical fitness.

Can't attend the event? Not a problem! The NFL has organized the Kick Hunger Challenge. This yearlong event allows participants to contribute to their NFL team and support their local community in just a couple of clicks. All proceeds go directly to meals, services and operations helping to feed 37 million Americans who turn to local food banks for assistance. Millions of needs, thousands of families and dozens of new hunger projects have been affected by this major volunteer effort. You can donate by logging on to their website. Currently, the Atlanta Falcons are in 3rd place having raised $20,295. Help lead our Falcons to a victory in kicking hunger!
