Youth Leadership Summit
The Atlanta Community Food Bank is now accepting applications for their 2010 Youth Leadership Summit on Hunger and Poverty!!!

WHAT: Twenty-one metro-Atlanta high school students will be chosen to participate in a 5 day service program that includes interactive workshops, and service projects with the Food Bank and other hunger fighting organizations in metro-Atlanta. Participants earn 40 community service hours and the opportunity to apply for the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s Youth Board. They also have an amazing time, build new friendships and learn more about how they can help their community than they would ever have imagined.
WHERE: The Youth Summit will be based at the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
WHEN: June 14-18, 2010 - 8:30am-4:30pm Monday- Friday.
HOW: The Application Packet, containing application and recommendation forms, is found here. (PDF requires the free Acrobat Reader from Adobe.) Feel free to print/download and send in via mail of fax. Or, for a greener alternative, you can use the Acrobat Reader to fill out the application and then submit it via email. You may even sign the form electronically (using the Acrobat Reader). Application deadline is April 16th.
**There is no fee for the Summit. Due to the fact that we can only accept 20 students for this opportunity, we pay particular attention to the essay portion of the application and to references.
