What is Atlanta's Table?
Since 1987, Atlanta's Table has been collecting prepared perishable food from
our local hospitality industry and delivering this food to more than 40 Metro Atlanta
nonprofit partner agencies daily. This groundbreaking program was one of
the first projects of its kind, and its success has promoted similar development in
cities nationwide through Feeding America .
Where do we get our food?
|
|
Our refrigerated trucks deliver food to more than 40 Metro Atlanata nonprofit partner agencies daily.

Restaurants, caterers, corporate dining rooms, hotels, convention centers, special
events and other food service providers are among the more than 200 hospitality
industry donors that regularly contribute prepared food. Atlanta's Table collects and
distributes approximately 40,000 pounds of food every month.
How do we handle this food safely?
Our temperature controlled vehicles carefully collect and distribute donations. Health department approved procedures are strictly followed to ensure nourishment safely reaches those in need. The State of Georgia and the federal government protect donors from liability through "Good Samaritan" legislation. The Food Bank maintains 129,600 square feet of storage with 75,000 cubic feet of walk-in refrigeration and freezer space.
How do I donate food?
Food-service operator donations
Individual donations
Individuals can donate food to Atlanta's Table, but only if the source of the food is a licensed food service operator. You can include Atlanta's Table when you plan for food service at weddings, banquets, receptions and other catered special events. To make these arrangements, make sure you and your caterer follow our instructions and plan as far ahead as possible.
How can I donate money?
Individuals can contribute to Atlanta's Table by making a direct donation, or by participating in one of our special event fundraisers. Corporations, foundations, associations and sponsors of special events also support the project. To involve your organization, donate directly online or contact Sarah Fonder-Kristy at sarah.fonder-kristy@acfb.org or call (404) 892-3333 Ext. 1217.
