The Atlanta Community Food Bank is a non-profit organization supplying food and non-food products to over 700 programs in metro Atlanta and North Georgia.

Position: Education and Outreach Coordinator Intern

Duration: 6 months
Hours per week: 5 - 20 hrs per week
Work days: Mondays-Fridays, 3 - 4 hrs per day
Start date: 1/5/2010
End date: 6/30/2010

Requirements:
Student must have an interest in community, social work, public health, education and /or youth programming. Must be comfortable with group dynamics and public speaking. Strong organizational skills a plus. Intern should be an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in social work, public policy, public health, education or sociology.
Job Duties:
Plan and facilitate a Youth Leadership summit on Hunger and Poverty. Will go through Hunger 101 Train the Trainer program and assist with future trainings. Intern will facilitate hunger education workshops for youth and adults in the community and here at the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Intern will also assist with curricula development, testing and evaluation. Additional Information: Some evenings, some weekends (One week in June 40-45 hours). There is some flexibility around start and end date.
