Volunteer Department Intern

Position: Volunteer Department InternDepartment: Volunteer
Number of Positions: 1 Duration: 6-15 Weeks
Hours per week: 10-20 hrs per week (flexible)Work days: Mondays-Fridays, 3-5 hrs per day;
Weekend or evening hours as needed

  • Nov 30 - for Spring Term
  • April 30- for Summer Term

Location: Atlanta Community Food Bank, 732 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd. NW., Atlanta, GA 30318

Requirements: Majoring in non-profit, social work or other related field; comfortable with public speaking and group leadership desired; proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; data entry skills required. Available to work a minimum of days per week.

Job Duties: Data entry and volunteer hour tracking in Raiser's Edge; Assisting with scheduling volunteers via phone and email; Projects and research in the areas of program assessment, volunteer appreciation, or volunteer education; Taking a leadership role with volunteers in Product Rescue Center (PRC) or Community Gardening projects or other ACFB events; serving as a volunteer ACFB spokesperson at events.

Additional Information: Hours may be increased to 20-30 hours per week if needed.
