    What is it?

    Learn to cook in a state-of-the-art teaching facility as the finest chefs in Metro Atlanta donate their talents, time and ingredients. During the two-hour sessions chefs prepare, on average, three recipes and share samples with participants.

      Participants patiently wait for the chef to finish a demonstration before they dive into their dishes.

    From Chef Pano Karatassos of Kyma to Kevin Rathbun of Rathbun's and Krog Bar get insiders' tips from the best of the best and try their recipes at home!

    Where and When

    Classes are held in three Cook's Warehouse locations: Brookhaven, Midtown/Ansley, and Decatur.

    Directions are available for The Cook's Warehouse.

    Cost/Tuition

    Costs vary depending on level of participation, ranging from $40 to $150.

    One-hundred percent of class tuition benefits Atlanta's Table, a project of the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

    Chef cuts
    Classes are on a first-come, first-served basis and fill up quickly.
    Please note that the non-refundable class tuition fee is required at the time of registration.
    Cancellation Policy: Cancellation is accepted no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled class. No cash refunds will be given. A one-time class credit will be issued, based upon schedule availability.

Tonight Chef Eyester, of the popular Rosebud, will take you on a culinary tour of the region with his menu of She Crab Soup with Truffled Egg Salad Caviar and fresh chives, Shrimp & Grits made with andouille sausage, caramelized onions and San Marzano tomato gravy; and Drunken Cherry Bread Pudding with caramel sauce.     Fresh from his appearance on Bravo’s Top Chef, Chef Santiago returns to Simple Abundance to talk and teach all things paella. Tonight’s class will focus on two styles of paella with Chef Santiago demonstrating how to prepare Paella Marinera with chorizo, mussels, clams, bacalao, saffron, shrimp, monkfish; sweet peas and Paella Negra with squid, squid ink, shrimp, onions, dry sherry wine and piquillo peppers.     Funky Chicken, A Chicken Primer
    Chef Linton Hopkins of Restaurant Euguene and Holeman & Finch

    Chef Hopkins returns to Simple Abundance to teach all about chicken – the variation and depth of its preparations, how to select chicken and the variations of chicken available in the markets. Chef Hopkins will also teach participants how to prepare three chicken dishes: The Perfect Roast Chicken – the method to roasting, how to make a pan jus from the drippings and how to use leftover bones for a rich stock; Chicken and Dumplings – how easy this dish is, requiring only one pot, and why it is one of the great dishes of the southern repertoire; and Fried Chicken – the secrets to moist, crisp fried chicken every time. Evening includes wine tastings sponsored by Sherlock’s Wine Merchant and a chance to win tasty door prizes provided by Atlanta Beverage, Bella Cucina Artful Foods and Cabot Cheese.
