Hunger in America is a tough opponent that Taste of the NFL and the Atlanta Falcons are committed to defeating! Join Taste of the NFL’s Kick Hunger Challenge and become an MVP in the fight against hunger. Donate any amount in the name of the Atlanta Falcons between September 10, 2015 and February 5, 2016 and 100% of that donation will be given to Atlanta Community Food Bank. The team with the most donations will receive an additional $10,000 for their local food bank. The winning team/food bank will be announced the week of Super Bowl 50.
It’s time again for a fabulous evening of live old-time radio re-creations, complete with on-stage sound effects, presented by more than 30 Atlanta artists from The Atlanta Union Radio Players. This year’s celebration of radio’s past, Laughs by the Dozens, will feature an all-comedy lineup highlighting humorous radio greats including Jimmy Durante, Bob Hope, Jack Benny, Abbott and Costello, Burns and Allen, Minnie Pearl, Mae West, and many others. September is Hunger Action Month! Whether it’s volunteering, hosting a food drive or spreading the word of what the Food Bank does, we want you to help us. Join us and 200 Feeding America food banks across the nation to take action against the issue of hunger.
Outnumber Hunger is an initiative that makes it easy for people to join in the fight against hunger in their own communities. Specially marked food packages direct consumers to enter codes online at www.OutnumberHunger.com to help Feeding America secure meals for the Atlanta Community Food Bank. For every code entered by March 1, 2014, Outnumber Hunger will donate $0.65 – enough to secure five meals on behalf of local food banks.
