Youth SummitThe Atlanta Community Food Bank is now accepting applications for their 2012 Youth Summit on Hunger and Poverty!!!

Please read this page to get all the details on the Youth Summit before clicking on the application button. The first step of the application process is to take a brief survey, so we can better plan for those who are interested in the summit.

Application deadline is April 13th.

Youth Summit 2012 Works the PRCWHAT:  The Youth Summit is a 4-day service program that includes interactive workshops, and service projects with the Food Bank and other hunger fighting organizations in metro Atlanta. (View a list of the high schools to which past Youth Summit participants attended.) We are offering two sessions this summer and 20 metro Atlanta high school students will be chosen to participate in each session. Participants will not only earn 32 community service hours, they will also have an amazing time, build new friendships and learn more about how they can help their community than they would ever have imagined.

WHERE:  The Youth Summit will be held at the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

WHEN: 
Session #1:  June 12-15, 2012- 8:30am-4:30pm Tuesday - Friday
Session #2: July 24 - 27, 2012 – 8:30am-4:30pm Tuesday - Friday

HOW:  Please complete the Youth Summit Interest Survey.  After completing the survey you will receive links to the current application documents.  The application is available in PDF or MS Word formats.  (PDF requires the free Acrobat Reader from Adobe.) Application deadline is April 13th.



**There is no fee for the Summit. Due to the fact that we can only accept 20 students for each session, we pay particular attention to the essay portion of the application and to references.
