Explanation of SNAP report questions

Number of families receiving SNAP food as groceries
  1. Number of TANF families
    How many families receive TANF - cash assistance - from the State?
  2. Number of Transitional TANF families?
    Number of families that have used up their 48 months of TANF and that the State is assisting for one more year while they transition from welfare to work
  3. .
  4. Number of at risk families
    If they do not fit into category 1 or 2, but meet other SNAP criteria, they are considered "at risk." For example, SNAP criteria include low income, no income, public housing resident, Section 8 housing, food stamp recipient, children receive free or reduced lunch, current WIC card, Peachcare for Kids card, Medicaid card, eligible for USDA commodities.
On Premise/Congregate Feeding Programs:
  1. Total number of meals served during SNAP foods as ingredients:
    A meal using even one SNAP ingredient is a SNAP meal. That meal served to 20 kids would count as 20 meals<
