Castleberry Recall Instructions

Castleberry has issued a recall of product distributed under a variety brand names. This is due to botulism.

We want to be sure that we handle any possibly tainted product in accordance with USDA regulations. We also want to ensure that we dispose of it in such a manner that it does not pose a health threat, especially to persons who might make use of our refuse.

Do not dispose of any suspect items. The Atlanta Community Food Bank is asking all of our agencies to take the following steps:

  1. Consult the Castleberry Website (www.castleberrys.com/news_productrecall.asp) for the most current list of recalled items.
  2. Immediately pull and set aside (but do not dispose of) any product that is suspect.
  3. Do NOT dispose of any product that is suspect. Hold it while we determine the safest course of action.
  4. All containers of suspect foods should remain unopened.
  5. Return to this page daily for the most current information on how to handle possibly tainted product.
