Food Security Education

Food Security:
Sustained access at all times, in socially acceptable ways, to food adequate in quantity and quality to maintain a healthy life.

Hunger and Poverty education and advocacy is more than just emergency relief, it is about working for Food Security. Food Security is simple justice--ensuring that all people in our society can provide for themselves and their dependents the basic needs of sustenance with dignity and worth. Here are some resources that will help you understand the need for Food Security and how our world fosters food insecurity. You will also find tools to empower you for both immediate emergency relief efforts and to work toward the ultimate goal of self-sufficiency for all people.
