What exactly is the Atlanta Prosperity Campaign?
It’s an initiative of the Atlanta Community Food Bank, working with several other organizations, including the United Way and the Internal Revenue Service with the purpose of bringing families and individuals closer to long-term financial security.
What makes someone eligible to receive benefits?
It depends on what benefits an individual or household is seeking. The best way to find out is to contact us at info@atlantaprosperity.org or 404.892.FEED (3333) x1276.
Is it true that I could get my taxes prepared for free?
If your household income was $49,000 or less in the prior tax year, you could be eligible. Visit www.atlantaprosperity.org for full details on the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, also known as VITA.
I have questions about food stamps. Does the Atlanta Prosperity Campaign have information on the food stamp (SNAP) program?
Yes. We can work with you to determine whether or not you could be eligible to receive SNAP benefits.
What other services does the initiative offer?
Many families are eligible for services and are not applying! Benefits include not only food stamps, but the Earned Income Tax Credit, Medicaid, PeachCare, energy assistance and others.
